Urban Recipes is a playful exploration of rich ecologies in the city. By combining the spatial experimentation of drifting with the recursive practice of recipe making, Urban Recipes opens up a space for novel ways of noticing and relating to both humans and nonhumans in everyday urban environments. Urban Recipes: Malmö Picnic invites curious individuals to take a stroll in the industrial area of Västra Hamnen, create, exchange, and remake recipes for noticing fellow nonhuman inhabitants. Collectively, we will reflect on how to cultivate care in the more-than-human city.
This work is part of the DCODE project. The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 955990.
